I've been AWOL

I missed both the July and August club meetings, so sorry no show n tell from them.
You can go to the Clubs facebook to see photos from the meetings and more.

Anyway here's what I have been up to.

I went to the Clubs retreat at St Francis is Auckland, and started a stripy blue quilt.

And also sewed up a cuddle (minky) box of fabric.

The weekend before that I went to the Jazz & Blues Festival in Paihia.
My favourite acts were Chihiro Yamazaki + ROUTE14 Band from Japan (above)
And Austin Walkin' Cane from USA (below)

In July we went to Melbourne for a holiday, and enjoyed the Trams & Trains.

Had a lovely sunny day to visit the Bathing Boxes at Brighton Beach.
Was still cold though (it was mid-winter) hence my funny hat.

I did visit one quilt shop, Queen of Fabric in Brighton.

Went on a few Yarra river cruises.

Went to see the Viking Exhibition at Melbourne Museum

And of course walked the Laneways.
